My name is Chakradhari Yadav. I am 51 years old and a resident of Village Madhi, Police Station—Newadia, District—Jaunpur. My father’s name was the late Nandlal Yadav. My wife’s name is Sitamuni. I belong to the Ahir (Yadav) caste. I support my family by working in the fields. I have two sons and two daughters. The eldest daughter is Neetu (28 years old), my second child is Pradyumn (26), the third is my daughter Rishu (23), and the youngest is my son Pravendra.

One Diwali, I decided to bring my son home from college—a decision that turned out to cost me dearly. I had no idea that this simple, affectionate act would become the cause of such immense trouble. Had I known, I would never have called him home. That night changed everything.

As I was sleeping on a cot in our home, my younger son Pravendra came running and told me, “Papa, a man has fallen off a motorcycle.” Hearing this, I rushed to the spot and saw a crowd of 20–25 people gathered around the injured person—villagers surrounding him. I couldn’t even see how badly Suraj Gautam was injured. Before I could fully comprehend the situation, his family took him to Jeevandaan Hospital in Jaisinghpur, then to Kazisarai Health Center, and eventually to BHU Trauma Center. After 22 days of treatment, Suraj sadly passed away. I learned about his death from the villagers.

From the third day after the incident, the police began harassing me—despite there being no FIR against me, nor any warrant. One day, while I was grazing buffaloes in the field, Arvind Pandey and some uniformed officers came about 100 meters from where I stood and shouted, “Chakradhari, listen!” As I approached, the officer asked, “Where is your son?” I replied, “Pradyumn is in college, in Mumbai.”

The officer said, “Get dressed and come with me,” which I did. He then asked, “Where is your mobile phone?” I said it was at home, and he took it. As we moved a kilometer away, the officer seized my phone. I couldn't say anything.

I was taken to the police station around 5 PM and made to sit in front of the lockup where a CCTV camera was installed. I was kept there all night without even water or tea. At 3 AM, I was charged under breach of peace and taken for a medical examination at Ramnagar Community Health Center by 5 PM. I was desperately thirsty, and going without water had become unbearable. Finally, I asked the medical staff for water.

After this, I was taken to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and after my appearance, I was released around 8–8:30 PM. When I reached home, people gathered to ask me what had happened. I asked them all to remain calm and tried to rest. Suddenly, at 10 PM, the police came to my home, untied my animals from the posts, and began banging on the doors. The women in the house were terrified.

The police started pressuring me: “Where is your son? Call him immediately!” That same night, the police went to my sister’s house and asked whether Pradyumn was hiding there. I clearly said that my son was in college in Mumbai, but they didn’t believe me. The police ignored my explanation and began raiding our house every night—breaking things, hurling abuses. I kept pleading our innocence, but the authorities remained indifferent.

On 14 November 2024, Sub-Inspector Ishwar Chandra Tripathi and a constable arrived at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College in Mumbai. There, they met the Dean, saying they wanted to record Pradyumn’s statement. When the Dean agreed, the SI changed his words and said they would take him to a nearby police post to record the statement and then bring it back. The Dean gave his permission accordingly.

However, once my son’s statement was recorded in front of the magistrate in Mumbai, the SI and constable forcibly boarded him onto a train and brought him to Newadia Police Station. On 16 November 2024, when they reached the station, Inspector Amit Pandey said:

“We will not let your son become an MBBS doctor.”

Hearing this shattered me—it felt as though my heart broke.

My son was presented before the SC/ST Court and sent to district jail. Seeing him behind bars broke me. I was at a complete loss. Everything I had saved for his education was now gone. I had taken a loan from the bank, sold ancestral land—and now, with my son in jail, our family stands on the brink of starvation. Even tears have stopped coming. Every time I visit him in jail, my heart aches. He missed his exams due to his imprisonment.

I filed a petition in court to allow him to sit for his exams, but it was rejected in writing. I kept wondering: what crime had we committed that my son is being punished for it?

A case was registered based on a complaint written by Virendra Kumar Gautam. The incident for which my son was framed occurred merely 20 meters from a house with a CCTV camera installed—owned by a man named Ramdas. The footage from this camera has not been mentioned at all in the investigation. Nor has the call detail record (CDR) of deceased Suraj Gautam been obtained. The police have deliberately hidden both these crucial pieces of evidence.

During a deposition at the CO Madihan’s office, upon seeing the written complaint, the officer said to Virendra Gautam:

“You’ve falsely implicated both boys—this is very wrong. You will face the consequences.”

To which Virendra responded, “Sir, Pradyumn was there.”

The CO’s constable asked, “If the medical report says the person fell from the bike after drinking alcohol, then what do you say?”

Virendra replied, “They are very rich people—that's why they changed the medical report.”

This is the struggle of a father trying to prove his son’s innocence. There is still hope for justice in my household, and I will keep fighting for my son. Somewhere deep inside, I believe that truth will prevail and justice will be served within the framework of the law.

This story is not only mine, but also of all those facing injustice and oppression. We all must fight for truth in the pursuit of justice.

I, Dr. Lenin Raghuvanshi, Founder-Convener of the People’s Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR), am writing this petition concerning a highly sensitive and grave matter.

Case Summary:

Chakradhari Yadav, a poor farmer from Jaunpur district, is the father of Pradyumn Yadav, a bright MBBS student at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Mumbai. Following a humane act of checking on a road accident victim, Pradyumn and his father were falsely implicated in a criminal case.

Shockingly, a police team went to Mumbai, picked up Pradyumn from his medical college without a warrant or informing the family, and brought him back to UP where he was placed under judicial custody. The Station House Officer made a disturbing and inhumane remark to the father:

“We will not let your son become an MBBS doctor.”

This statement reflects not only a personal vendetta but an attempt to crush the future of a promising young student.

Based on field investigation and testimonial therapy conducted by PVCHR, it is evident this case exemplifies police abuse, caste-based discrimination, and gross violation of legal procedure.

We urge UPSLSA to take the following urgent actions:

1. Provide immediate free legal aid to Pradyumn Yadav.

2. Grant financial compensation to the family as per NHRC and Supreme Court guidelines.

3. Initiate departmental inquiry and punitive action against the SHO and other responsible officials.

4. Ensure special permission is granted by the court for Pradyumn to continue his education.

5. Order a high-level, independent, and impartial investigation into the matter.

PVCHR firmly believes in the principle of Hope, Human Dignity, and Honour (3H) and that every citizen deserves justice, especially when their constitutional rights are under threat.

We hope you will act urgently and appropriately in light of the seriousness of this case.

“थानाध्यक्ष द्वारा बोला गया, हम तुम्हारे बेटे को MBBS नही करने देंगे”

 मेरा नाम चक्रधारी यादव है| मेरी उम्र- 51 वर्ष है। मैं ग्राम-मढ़ी, थाना-नेवडिया, जिला-जौनपुर का रहने वाला हूं। मेरे पिता का नाम स्व. नन्दलाल यादव है, मेरी पत्नी का नाम सितामुनी है। मैं जाति से अहिर (यादव) हूं| अपने खेतों में काम करके अपने घर का खर्च चलाता हूं। मेरे पास दो बेटे और दो बेटियां हैं। सबसे बड़ी बेटी का नाम नीतू है, जो 28 वर्षीय है, दूसरा बेटा प्रदुमन 26 साल का है, तीसरी बेटी रिशु 23 वर्ष की है, मेरा छोटा बेटा प्रवेन्द्र है।

एक दिन, दीवाली के मौके पर अपने बेटे को कॉलेज से बुलाने का निर्णय मेरे लिए एक भारी कीमत चुकाने वाला साबित हुआ। मुझे क्या पता था कि यह निर्णय इतनी बड़ी मुसीबत का कारण बनेगा। अगर मुझे पहले से पता होता, तो मैं कभी भी अपने बेटे को घर नहीं बुलाता। इस घटना ने मेरे जीवन में अंधकार छा दिया। वह रात, जब मैं अपने घर में चारपाई पर सो रहा था, तब अचानक मेरे छोटे बेटे प्रवेन्द्र ने मुझे बताया कि "पापा, एक आदमी मोटर साइकिल से गिर गया है।" उसकी बात सुनते ही मैं दौड़कर गया। मौके पर पहुंचा तो देखा, 20 से 25 लोगों की भीड़ खड़ी थी, गाँव वाले उसे घेरे हुए थे। मैं यह भी नहीं देख पाया कि  सुरज गौतम को कितनी चोट आई है।जितना जल्दी मैं समझ पाता, उतनी जल्दी सुरज के परिवार वाले उसे जीवन दान अस्पताल, जय सिंहपुर ले गए। वहां से उसे काजीसराय स्वास्थ्य केंद्र और फिर बाद में BHU ट्रॉमा सेंटर में भर्ती कराया गया। इलाज के दौरान 22 दिन बाद, सुरज का देहांत हो गया। मुझे उसकी मौत की सूचना गाँव वालों से मिली। घटना के तीसरे दिन से ही पुलिस ने मुझे परेशान करना शुरू कर दिया। न तो मेरे नाम पर FIR था। और न कोई वारंट। उस दिन मैं अपने खेत में भैंस चरा रहा था, तभी अरविंद पांडेय और उनके कुछ वर्दीधारी साथी 100 मीटर की दूरी पर आए और तेज आवाज में कहा, "चक्रधारी सुनो!" जैसे ही मैं उनके पास पहुंचा, दरोगा साहब ने पूछा, "तुम्हारा लड़का कहाँ है?" मैंने कहा, "प्रद्युम कॉलेज, मुम्बई में है।"

दरोगा ने कहा, "पहले कपड़े पहनकर मेरे साथ चलो," और मैंने तुरंत अपने कपड़े पहन लिए। दरोगा ने फिर पूछा, "तुम्हारा मोबाइल कहाँ है?" मैंने बताया कि "वह घर में है," और मोबाइल लेकर चला गया। जैसे ही हम एक किलोमीटर दूर गए, दरोगा साहब ने मेरा मोबाइल ले लिया, और मैं कुछ नहीं कह सका। 

मुझे थाने ले जाया गया, जहां शाम के 5 बजे थे। मुझे उस लॉकअप के सामने बैठा दिया गया, जहाँ कैमरा लगा था। पूरी रात मुझे बिना पानी और चाय के बैठने दिया गया। सुबह 3 बजे मुझे शांति भंग के आरोप में चालान कर दिया गया। शाम 5 बजे तक मुझे *रामनगर सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाकर मेडिकल किया गया। उस समय मुझे भयानक प्यास लग रही थी, और बिना पानी के रहना मेरे लिए एक चुनौती बन गया था। अंततः मैंने अस्पताल के मेडिकल स्टाफ से पानी मांगा और पीया।

इसके बाद मुझे उपजिला मजिस्ट्रेट (SDM) के पास ले जाया गया। पेशी के बाद मुझे रात 8 से 8:30 बजे के बीच छोड़ा गया। मैं जब घर पहुंचा, तब लोग मुझसे पूछने लगे। मैंने सभी को शांत रहने के लिए कहा और आराम करने लगा। अचानक रात 10 बजे पुलिस मेरे घर पहुंच गई। उन्होंने मेरे जानवरों को खूटा से खोल दिया और दरवाजे पर दस्तक दी। महिलाएं हड़बड़ाकर बाहर आईं।

पुलिस वाले मुझ पर दबाव बनाने लगे, "तुम्हारा बेटा कहाँ है? जल्दी बुलाओ!" उस दिन रात पुलिस मेरे बहन के घर भी गई और पूछा कि क्या प्रदुमन वहाँ छिपा है। मैंने स्पष्ट कहा कि मेरा बेटा मुम्बई के कॉलेज में है, लेकिन पुलिस को मेरी बात पर विश्वास नहीं हुआ।पुलिस मेरी सफाई को नहीं मान रही थी और हर रात मेरे घर पर छापे मारते थे, तोड़फोड़ करते और गालियाँ देते थे। मैंने हमेशा अपनी और अपने बेटे की बेगुनाही की गुहार लगाई, लेकिन प्रशासन को कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ा। 14 नवम्बर 2024 को, SI ईश्वर चंद्र त्रिपाठी और एक कांस्टेबल मुम्बई के लोकमान्य तिलक मेडिकल कॉलेज पहुंचे। वहां SI ने कॉलेज के डीन से मिले। उन्होंने कहा कि वे प्रदुमन का बयान लेना चाहते हैं। डीन ने जब कहा कि ठीक है, तब SI ने अपनी बात बदलते हुए कहा कि वह पहले मुम्बई पास के चौकी पर ले जाकर स्टेटमेंट लेकर भेज देंगे| मुम्बई चौकी पर स्टेटमेंट होने के बाद मजिस्ट्रेट मुम्बई के सामने बयान करने के लिए बोला गया| SI का बात मानकर डीन सर ने स्टेटमेंट के लिए मंजूरी दे दी| जैसे ही बेटे का बयान मजिस्ट्रेट के सामने हुआ, उस समय SI और कांस्टेबल ने मिलकर बेटे को ट्रेन में बैठाकर थाना नेवडिया लेकर आ गये|। 16 नवम्बर 2024 को नेवडिया थाना पहुँचे, जहाँ अमित पांडेय ने कहा, "हम तुम्हारे लड़के को MBBS नहीं करने देंगे।" यह सुनकर मुझे ऐसा महसूस हुआ जैसे मेरा दिल टूट गया हो।

बेटे को SC/ST कोर्ट में पेश किया गया, जहाँ उसे जिला कारागार में निरुद्ध कर दिया गया। जब मैं उसे जेल के अंदर देख रहा था, मेरा कलेजा फट सा गया। उस समय, कुछ भी समझ में नहीं आ रहा था कि मैं क्या करूँ। मैंने अपने बेटे को पढ़ाने के लिए जितनी भी कमाई थी, वो सब खत्म हो चुकी थी।

बैंक से कर्ज़ लिया था और पुश्तैनी ज़मीन भी बिक गई। अगर मेरा बेटा जेल में रहा, तो हमारा परिवार भुखमरी के कगार पर पहुँच जाएगा। अब तो आँसुओं की भी कमी हो गई है। जब भी बेटे से जेल में मिलता हूँ, मेरा दिल टूट जाता है। उसके परीक्षा भी जेल जाने के कारण छूट गई।मैंने कोर्ट में अपील की बेटे को परीक्षा दिलाने की अनुमति दी जाए, लेकिन यह लिखित में खारिज कर दिया गया। यह सुनकर ऐसा लगता था कि ऐसा कौन सा पाप किया है जिसकी सजा मेरे बेटे को भुगतनी पड़ रही है। वीरेंद्र कुमार गौतम द्वारा लिखी गई तहरीर के आधार पर मुकदमा पंजीकृत कराया गया।जबकि जिस घटना के मामले में मेरे बेटे को फसाया गया है| जिस स्थान पर cc कैमरा लगा हुआ है| उस मकान मालिक का नाम रामदास है| जहाँ पर कैमरा लगा हुआ है| वहाँ से महज 20 मीटर दुरी पर घटना घटी है| जिस तथ्य को पुलिस अभी तक छुपाया है| कही भी विवेचना में cc टीवी कैमरा का उल्लेख नही किया गया है| अभी तक मृतक सुरज  गौतम का काल डिटेल भी नही निकाला गया|  दोनों तथ्य पुलिस ने छिपा कर रखा है|

जब CO मडियाहूं के यहाँ बयान लिया जा रहा था, तो उन्होंने तहरीर देखकर वीरेन्द्र गौतम से कहा कि आपने दोनों बच्चे को फसाकर बहुत गलत किया है और इसका परिणाम आपको भुगतना पड़ेगा। तब वीरेंद्र गौतम ने कहा कि "सर, वहाँ प्रदुमन था।" CO साहब के सिपाही ने कहा कि "जो मेडिकल रिपोर्ट में शराब पीकर मोटर साइकिल से गिरना लिखा है, तब तुम क्या बोलोगे?" इस पर वीरेंद्र गौतम ने जवाब दिया कि "ये लोग बहुत पैसे वाले हैं, इसलिए मेडिकल रिपोर्ट को बदलवा दिया।"

यह एक पिता का संघर्ष जो अपने बेटे की बेगुनाही को साबित करने में लगा हुआ है। मेरे घर में न्याय की आस है, और मैं अपने बेटे के लिए लड़ता रहूँगा। कहीं न कहीं मुझे यकीन है कि सच्चाई की जीत होगी, और कानून के दायरे में मुझे न्याय मिलेगा। यह कहानी सिर्फ मेरी नहीं, बल्कि उन सभी लोगों की है जो अन्याय और अत्याचार का सामना कर रहे हैं। हम सभी को न्याय की तलाश में असली सच्चाई के लिए लड़ना होगा।

महोदय,

मैं, लेनिन रघुवंशी, संस्थापक-संयोजक, पीपुल्स विजिलेंस कमेटी ऑन ह्यूमन राइट्स (PVCHR), यह पत्र एक अत्यंत संवेदनशील और गंभीर प्रकरण के संबंध में लिख रहा हूँ।

प्रकरण-विवरण:
चक्रधारी यादव, निवासी जनपद जौनपुर, एक गरीब किसान हैं। उनका पुत्र, प्रद्युम्न यादव, मुंबई के लोकमान्य तिलक मेडिकल कॉलेज में MBBS का छात्र था। एक सड़क दुर्घटना में घायल व्यक्ति को देखने भर की मानवीय प्रतिक्रिया के बाद, प्रद्युम्न और उनके पिता को एक झूठे मुकदमे में फँसा दिया गया।

चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि पुलिस टीम द्वारा मुंबई जाकर बिना वारंट, बिना परिवार को सूचित किए, प्रद्युम्न को मेडिकल कॉलेज से उठाकर यूपी लाया गया और न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया। थानाध्यक्ष द्वारा पीड़ित के पिता के समक्ष कहा गया —
"हम तुम्हारे बेटे को MBBS नहीं करने देंगे।"

यह बयान न केवल अमानवीय है, बल्कि एक होनहार छात्र के भविष्य को कुचलने वाला है।

PVCHR द्वारा की गई फील्ड जांच और स्वकथा व्यथा आधारित उपचार (Testimonial Therapy) से यह स्पष्ट हुआ है कि यह मामला पुलिस उत्पीड़न, जातिगत पूर्वाग्रह, और कानूनी प्रक्रिया की गंभीर अवहेलना का उदाहरण है।

प्रार्थना है कि UPSLSA निम्नलिखित बिंदुओं पर शीघ्र कार्यवाही करे:

1.    प्रद्युम्न यादव को नि:शुल्क विधिक सहायता तत्काल उपलब्ध कराई जाए।

2.    पीड़ित परिवार को NHRC और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुसार आर्थिक मुआवज़ा प्रदान किया जाए।

3.    थानाध्यक्ष और अन्य जिम्मेदार अधिकारियों के विरुद्ध विभागीय जांच और दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की जाए।

4.    प्रद्युम्न की शिक्षा बाधित न हो, इसके लिए कोर्ट से विशेष अनुमति दिलाई जाए।

5.    स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष जांच हेतु उच्च स्तरीय निर्देश जारी किए जाएं।

PVCHR मानता है कि Hope, Human Dignity and Honour (3H) के सिद्धांतों के अनुसार प्रत्येक नागरिक को न्याय मिलना चाहिए, विशेषकर तब जब वह संविधान के मूल अधिकारों से वंचित किया जा रहा हो।

हमें आशा है कि आप इस मामले की संवेदनशीलता को समझते हुए तत्काल आवश्यक कार्रवाई करेंगे।
